Johannes Faes, born in Schoten 9th of October 1984, betterknown as Tourist. A real troubadour. An Antwerp Musician who raps and sings in the Antwerp dialect. Many people like to portrait him as a modern Wannes Van de Velde. When he was six years old they moved to “the Seefhoek” a working-class district in the heart of Antwerp. The son of a teacher and a nurse, he graduated as a social worker. On December 23th 2010 he released his first album called Antwerps Testament. From there on he quickly gained recognition and reached the finals in the Rock rally tournament from Humo. In 2014 he released two LP’s, one of which called “En Route” here he covers one of Wannes van de velde’s songs. “I want to get lost in the streets tonight”. In the meantimeTourist received his Fourth Mia Award in 2019. And with that his music career is at a peak.
